Aft-Facing Penthouse with Balcony. These Penthouses with a Balcony have so much to offer. With room for up to two, you'll have a separate bedroom with queen-size circular bed and a living area, plus these Aft-Facing Penthouses offer an unforgettable view from the private balcony and include exclusive access to the Courtyard area, Concierge Lounge and private restaurant and bar.
Includes butler and concierge service. Keep in mind the most expensive suites on the ship are located all the way forward, and very high up. They are basically prone to the most motion but I certainly would not pass one up and would hardly consider the location a deal breaker.
As for privacy, if you are sitting on the section of the balcony that is covered which is closest to the balcony door , it is total privacy. You can do whatever you want there and no one will see you unless you are docked and someone is standing dockside.
That section of the balcony is the same size as any standard balcony on the ship as these cabins have a double sized balcony.
Move closer to the rail to the section of the balcony that is uncovered, and then you don't have the privacy but you have the open sky above and can even get a tan if you want.
This is what I mean by the best of both worlds. You can have your chairs in total privacy if you want, or move them closer to the rail for the sun.
Your choice. A great advantage of being fore or aft is the corridor outside the cabins tends to be very quiet. You don't have people walking by talking, laughing, or whatever as there is no reason to be in the area unless your cabin is there.
Room is the bed by the balcony? Is this a good room choice? Cruise Feb  thanks in advance, so happy for a wonderful place to ask. And I assume balcony is covered.
I know this an older post, but we are booked in this room next January and have never been on Epic. The Spa Balcony Staterooms can accommodate up to three guests.
They include two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed, a sitting area, a separate shower and additional bedding to accommodate one more guest.
You'll also receive entry to the Mandara Spa experience, including complimentary access to the Thermal Spa Suites plus your own private balcony to enjoy the view.

Best Anniversary Ever! My wife an I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and this cruise stating in Barcelona and around the Mediterranean made it very special.
The staff on board were always cheerful and helpful. The cabin we had was I choose to go up to other washrooms that were larger on upper decks. The food onboard was always good and there was plenty of it.
The drink package was a good thing to have too. We went on Excursions in Naples, Rome, Florence and Monte Carlo. All really well organized without the fear of missing the boat.
Just a little expensive. When we go on another cruise we would probably go with Norwegian but probably with another ship that has better cabin bathrooms.
